Sure, I’ll play checkers with you, little dude. #iwon
I love being in a big space when it’s empty & quiet. This was the calm before the physical therapy & athlete training storm this morning. I’m thankful for this place & that 2013 brought me a diagnosis, a skilled surgeon to repair it and therapists who are guiding my recovery. I’ve always had patience for others but, man, is this injury teaching me to be patient with myself. Slow & steady.
To those of you who’ve been asking when I will release new music, this running injury is what sidelined me for a bit. But 2014 will bring new music!
I’ll probably be asleep well before midnight so I’m taking this time to wish you all a happy & healthy new year!
Cara Salimando was our final guest artist of this semester’s Songwriter Series. She was brilliant! Her band Novelette has a lovely new album “Everything is Happening Now.”
Deck the Halls with some Fosse dancers!
Thanks to my friend Ellie for the inspiration to make this little video.

They hate it now, but they’re too scared to know
That their children’s children will sit underneath its shade
And your children’s children will bask in the love you made
Brick by brick, we are building
You won’t see for the longest time
We’re building a new life
It won’t show for the longest time
